Ask if children recognise the symbol above: explain that it’s the coat of arms for County Durham.
Explain that our art this week is linked to our castles topic again. Please design your own coat of arms which represents you. For example, if you love animals you could put your favourite animal in one section; if you’re a kind person, you could draw a heart in another; if you’re brave, perhaps you could draw a lion. Use the worksheet dated 5.2.21.
These would look amazing on our display wall so please send them in when completed!
