As the winter draws in and illness is on the rise, it is difficult to know what to do for the best sometimes with regards to attendance. Please find below, a link to the NHS website which gives you an overview of common childhood illness with guidance around school absence.

Anti-bullying week 2023

The theme of Anti-bullying week is ‘Make a Noise About Bullying’.

The children have completed assemblies and discussions in class about bullying. Mrs King has set the children the challenge of making a poster to encourage kind behaviour and promote good choices.

In-line with the theme of ‘Make a Noise About Bullying,’ we have reminded the children to speak up if they are unhappy about anything at school and speak to trusted adults.

To finish the theme week, we ask that everyone comes to school tomorrow wearing odd socks to celebrate that everyone is different and unique.

Children in Need 2023

Tomorrow (Friday 17th November) is Children in Need day. As Friday is PE day for some classes, we will not be asking children to dress up because some of them will need to be in their PE kits. However, all children are welcome to wear any Children in Need accessories they may have.

Nasal Flu Vaccinations

Please see information from the School Immunisation Service:

Dear Parent/Guardian

The nasal flu vaccinations will take place at your child’s school on 14 November 2023, please use the below link to complete either a consent form or a refusal for the vaccinations. The link contains the consent form and additional information such as FAQs regarding the vaccination. The link will close on 7 November 2023.

Updates for Week beginning 2nd October

Food bank donations –  all week.

Please leave donations in the front entrance, or give to class teachers.

School photographs – Thursday 5th October 

Uniform to be worn by all classes.

Craft afternoon Friday 6th October – 1:30- 3:00 

One adult per child. Please let us know if you are coming so we can prepare resources and have an idea of numbers.

We have received a grant to buy a greenhouse and some gardening equipment for our developing school allotment. We are so grateful to one of our grandparents and family for building it for us.
