Read story from ‘Envelope sighed ……….’ to ‘ STOP !’ Discuss what sort of character the Mysterious Stranger is: is he kind? How do you know? Is he mean? How do you know?
It is very important that children can explain why they think this.
Activity: Children are to create a Wanted poster of the Mysterious Stranger.
Y1: draw and label the Mysterious Stranger; you could then write sentences explaining what he has done wrong. You could also say what the reward is for capturing him!
Y2: draw the Mysterious Stranger and explain why he is wanted eg He cast a spell over the people who went to the party.
